Sampdoria has officially defined its new sporting management for the 2023-2024 season. The agreement with Americo Branco for the appointment as sporting director has been reached, pending the necessary formalities with the FIGC. Alongside Branco, Lorenzo Ariaudo will take on the role of technical director, while Mattia Stante will become the new team manager. José Manuel Barbosa Alves will serve as the coordinator of the scouting area, bringing extensive experience to the position. Branco, 35, has a career dedicated to sporting management, having worked with clubs such as Olhanense and Fortuna Sittard. Ariaudo, 37, has a significant past at Juventus and will now have a role of greater responsibility within Sampdoria. Stante, 35, began his managerial career at Ravenna and has served as team manager at Ternana. Finally, Barbosa Alves, 36, has a playing career that includes experiences in Portugal and abroad, and will now focus on scouting.
