Sampdoria loses its ex-coach, Salvatore Mango, who restarts in Malta with Valletta Football Club Women. The Genoese technician, born in 1963, has a long career as a coach in men's football, between Serie D and C.
Who is Salvatore Mango?
Mango has worked in women's football since the call from Sampdoria Women in 2023. Two salvation enterprises at the helm of the blucerchiate, then Naples, an adventure that ended with dismissal in January 2025.

«Women's football is more real, genuine» says Mango. «The players do not look at money but above all at emotions. I am struck by the desire to improve that the girls have, which goes beyond the sports result».
His new adventure
The Valletta Football Club Women «has been taken over by a new ownership with Maltese and Italian partners» explains Mango. The company asks him for a significant quality leap: «Last season the team finished last but now we are aiming for a top championship, from high ranking».
